North Connel student provides Fusion Marine with valuable design engineering expertise
A North Connel engineering student recently gained valuable holiday work experience at Fusion Marine by producing detailed design drawings of the company’s product range.
Rob Macdonald (21), who is a fourth year student studying for a Masters degree in product design engineering at Strathclyde University, is providing computer generated graphics of Fusion Marine’s range of fish farm cages and associated equipment, as well as pontoons and other outdoor leisure products.
The images generated will be used by Fusion Marine to provide customers with detailed technical specifications and for marketing purposes.
Rob said: “It has been great to get hands-on experience in a real working environment. This will help me tremendously with my degree course and I’m pleased that I’ve been able to do my part to help the local economy.”
